Tom and Sue Bailey
Founders
In 1978 after 10 years in the construction trade…
we decided to start Bailey Construction. In a few years, we were both working in the family business full-time, gratified by the hands-on work as well as our relationships with clients and tradesmen. We immediately saw the value to our business and customers of joining our local home builders association. Our years of leadership in HBA have enabled us to support our community and trade while pursuing our passion. We are proud that Rob and Linda have chosen to continue the family business.

Involvement with the Home Builders Association at the local, state, and national level helped me develop personally and professionally. I served as president of Saginaw Home Builders Association for two years and was named Builder of the Year twice.
Sue and I cherish the many friendships we have made through building and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and the Saginaw Career Complex.
Next to spending time with my wife, children, and grandchildren, I like to be out hunting, fishing, and enjoying outdoor sports.

I’ve grown both personally and professionally through this business and learned that strengthening relationships by treating customers and associates like family guarantees a great result for all.
In creating a Women’s Council (now the Professional Women in Building) at the HBA of Saginaw, my goal was to build and share growth opportunities for women in the local building industry. The many valuable relationships I’ve found through this experience has been a wonderful surprise.
My family is my focus, and I enjoy spending as much time as possible in family activities.
